LOVE this place! With all the great sushi restaurants in the Westchester area there's really no reason to go to a place unless you love it. I've been to this place now about a half-dozen times and every time has been thoroughly enjoyed. I think a bigreason is that the owner is also the chef so he is Hands-On and knows exactly what the customer likes and has direct feedback.Sushi is extremely fresh and if you're into brown rice which I am it's actually better and the most tastiest brown rice I'veever had. Bottom line it's better than all the other restaurants on Mamaroneck Avenue and I think that's saying a lot.
I ordered takeout from Sakana and was pleasantly surprised. I got the Bento box and asked for the tempura shrimp and tofu teriyaki. I couldn't believe how big the box was and wasn't expecting to see tempura vegetables too! The tempura shrimp were a nice size. This bento box was very satisfying and delicious with the array of sauces that came with mine. The california roll was fresh and tasty. There was also another item in the box that I'm not sure what it is called but it was also good. I would highly recommend this restaurant. The Bento Box was more than amazing and totally worth it. Stopped in here for dinner with the family. Big open space. Wasn't busy, so got served right away. Ordered a sushi boat, which is on par with the sushi places I've been to in the area, and dessert, which was pretty good. I'm glad that this place has dine in since the other restaurants have stopped dine in due to COVID. No issues with this place and hope to stop by here again.

I dinned in at this restaurant and ordered hibachi chicken with fried rice. The rice was decent but my chicken and vegetables were uncooked tasted freezer burnt. When bringing it to the mangers attention he told me that he was unable to take it off thecheck and my only option was to wrap It up and bring it home. Very unprofessional and I will never be returning!
I ordered the Beef Yaki Udon and Saba from Uber Eats, but my order arrived without the Saba, which is my favorite cooked fish. I was pretty disappointed. The Yaki Udon and beef also lacked flavor. Overall, I would rate the food 2 out of 5.
Don't order their lobster roll, The tempura lobster in it was hard as a rock, almost broke my tooth on it. Had to be old and not fresh. Very disappointed!! I will no longer be ordering from them ever!! Over $20 for it!!!
I ordered sushi and kani salad. The salmon avocado roll had very little salmon, and the sushi pieces were tiny—about the size of a penny. The kani salad was also poorly prepared. I strongly advise against dining here.
