There's so many places in ditmars but I'm so happy we settled on this sushi spot. They have so much more than just sushi but the sushi was really good!! It also looks very nice inside and was easy to get to from the train station. The waiters were nice and friendly, and it wasn't too expensive for a sushi spot which was very good. This is one of our favorite sushi spots now in the local area.
I recently visited Omakase in Astoria.The restaurant is located in a quiet neighborhood and has a cozy atmosphere.The sushi was fresh and delicious. I particularly enjoyed the toro and uni nigiri. The service was excellent our server was attentive and knowledgeable about the menu.Overall, I had a great experience and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for high quality sushi.
So happy my wife found this place! We eat sushi at least 3x a week so we know what good sushi is and are both a tad picky. This place did not disappoint at all! Waitress was very nice and attentive. We came here on a Tuesday night! Everything from thecrispy rice to the toro was delicious! We tried quite a few rolls and hand rolls and everything was great! Def give this place atry
I must say, the ingredients at this restaurant are incredibly fresh. The portion sizes may be lacking, but the overall quality of the food preparation is fantastic. However, the price is not justified and the service could use some serious improvement. If cost is not a concern and you are looking for some of the freshest sushi in the area, then it may be worth a try. Book a table now
Omakase at Sake Kawa is a must. Alex is always personable and provides the highest quality fish and ingredients. My family and I have been frequenting here for at least 3 years. The friends that we bring for the first time is always pleased after the meal. MUST get the Kumamoto oysters to start before the omakase. Thank me later :
I went here with my date. The food was so-so. The shoyu ramen is so bland that we ended up putting soy sauce just to have a taste. The sushi was okay. We thought they have sake but they don't serve any alcoholic drinks. The service was okay, thewaitress was confusing when she was taking my guy's orders.
Perfect experience for friends and couples. What a surprise!!! Every ingredient is so fresh. The chef is super detailed, noticing what you like. ?????? the special marinated tuna today is so tasty. 10 out of 10! ??????
Amazing experience with chief Alex, the Omakase is phenomenal and a journey with each roll he places in front of you. Highly recommend from someone who spent time in Japan and want an authentic experience. Book a table now
