FINALLY a legit sushi restaurant! Living in Germany, it's hard to find authentic sushi places but this one is the real deal. I ordered the maki and gyoza, both were SO DELICIOUS! The atmosphere is very zen, modern and hip. It's perfect for date night or if you're looking for an intimate setting. I need to come back and try their other dishes.
I've been to Japan 4 times so I can tell you this is a fantastic spot for high quality Japanese food you'd never expect in a small town like Gütersloh. We tried about a dozen items on the menu, and everything was to a high standard. Staff were also knowledgeable and friendly. Don't miss the black sesame mochi dessert, either!
Sushi by Sakura is and simply remains the best in Gütersloh! A visit is definitely worth it! The staff is also friendly and the choice for vegans/vegetarians is very large.
