However, if you're sensitive to low lighting, this might not be the best choice for you. The seating is limited, which allows for a nice flow, and you can easily have a private conversation. I had a delightful dinner with my family on Saturday night. The food was fresh and delicious, the service was excellent, and the ambiance was cozy. My favorite dish this time was the Katsu bento box, and the sushi rolls were also well-prepared and tasty, alongside a delicious miso soup. The rock shrimp was my least favorite, possibly due to the texture, but overall, I definitely plan to return soon to explore more items on the menu. The prices are quite reasonable too; we spent $90 for our family of three, which included two beers.
We were searching for an apartment in Astoria and decided to have lunch at this restaurant. What a wonderful discovery! The food specialties are fantastic, the service is quick and friendly, and the dining room is lovely. The sushi is exceptional. When we returned to the area the following week, we stopped by again and it did not disappoint. We can't wait to enjoy more delicious meals from Sakura, both dine-in and for delivery, once we move. Yummy!!! As a Japanese American whose parents had a sushi restaurant, I can honestly say this sushi is delicious, super fresh, and very moderately priced!! The lunch special is an insanely good deal and the sushi for two dinner comes with a ton of pieces that is served on a boat-shaped platter! Everyone is very nice, especially our favorite the super charismatic waitress, Mandy. She is hilarious and will give you tasty candies with your check :

This place was amazing. The food was excellent and they have great prices. I was in the City for business and have a per Diem and the price for what you get is great. I will certainly stop in again the next time I am in town. We love this place. Best sushi in ditmars. Not only is the sushi, basic rolls perfect but also the specialty roll are awesome. And they have sake specials, some nights a large for 1$!! Also when you order delivery it comes quite quickly.
That was one of our best nights in Astoria! The service was exceptional, and we ended up ordering more because everything was so delicious. If you’re a sushi lover and you find yourself in Astoria, be sure not to miss this place!
