This was the second time I ordered from them and decided to try something different so got the vodka pizza and wow... It was terrible. Black on the bottom, the fresh mozz was no longer edible it was so overcooked and the sauce had even cooked off in places and it just looked awful. It tasted like the cardboard box it came in. When I complained I was told it was made the way they always make it. Gross. So I can't recommend the vodka pizza ... Go anywhere else. At least own your mistakes. The plain pizza was ok so I get 3 stars because at least my child ate. Do better.
This review is a bit delayed, but I’ve been meaning to talk about the delicious pizza at Salerno's. A friend was visiting the area and was on a quest for great pizza, so I took them to Salerno's, knowing they would be very pleased. We tried two pizzas: a spinach artichoke and a margherita. Both were excellent! I should mention that I've eaten here many times but had never tried these two varieties before. Now I'm on the lookout for them whenever I visit! I’m a fan!
Their pizza was disgusting the ingredients in the pizza tasted expired. It almost seemed like they didn’t try to make it good just slapped cheese and sauce on it and called it a night. Don’t try their Sicilian pizza, Me and my family, Got a whole pie just to take one bite and throw it out waste of money and was very disappointed went to sleep hungry. Don’t know what the orange stuff on it was but tasted rancid.
my family has ordered from salernos since I remembered. when my brothers and I were young children of high school, lou (the owner) has often hooked us with soda on the house that we will never forget! over 10 years later, salernos continues to deliver a high price. it is on the hand that lou and his team quality, community and great service appreciate that this makes our go to take dinner spot year for year.

So we ordered a half plain half vodka crispy chicken mozz the pizza was a little floppy but very tasty the vodka sauce was on point and the plain was delicious we usually drive to Krispys in old bridge but didn’t want to drive there from matawan so we gave them a try and we’re pleased. The only reason I gave it 4 stars was Bec of the little bit of floppy and the 40 min wait for a pick up order.
I make a 25-minute drive here every week because of the outstanding quality and taste of their food! The staff, from the servers to the chefs, are incredibly welcoming and a joy to interact with. You absolutely have to try the penne vodka with vodka sauce and grilled chicken, along with their margherita Sicilian pizza. You’ll thank me later!
This place is honestly one of the best pizza places I have ever been too. Their buffalo chicken pizza is literally the best. Try to beat it u cant! I drive 45 mins from where I live now to get it. I just came in today and every slice is just delicious. I'm serious go here and try it. U will not be let done. Thanks salernos!!!

I visited for the first time yesterday. We had a large, well-prepared pepperoni and mushroom pizza, along with an order of parmesan rice balls. Both dishes were delicious! We will definitely order from here again.
