This is a fantastic little restaurant! They feature a wide variety of local products. I purchased some hot sauces that were made locally. I also wanted to grab lunch for a picnic, but they were quite busy and had limited sandwich options left. I ended up getting a bagel sandwich with smoked salmon, which was delicious. They offered classic cream cheese as a spread, as well as some baked goods that looked tempting, although I didn't try them. The service at the register was quick, even though there was a line. Just a heads up, there isn't a lot of parking available on their premises.

The Mercantile was awesome from the day it opened and just gets better with every visit! Helpful friendly service and great local products for the south islanders one stop shop! Love you guys! Keep up the great work!

Really enjoyed poking around this shop. Not really tourist oriented, more an old-fashioned Dry Goods store, but very enjoyable to meander around on a rainy day. I would make the trip back to pick up some neat gifts.

The restaurant has a charming atmosphere, but it is expensive and does not offer wifi. I am hoping to find a place with an open terrace soon. The staff is polite, but the owner seems grumpy. Book a table now

Cappuccino was not so great but it is an interesting old building located in the heart of that little town. In the summer time it is very busy. Had a nice porch to sit outside.

This place is full of surprises. They have a variety of locally made items, from soap to alcohol. We have visited several times and found the prices to be very reasonable.

NO Esspresso but very nice coffee anyway. Good little grocery store a little more pricy than the Vancouver Island but interesting and some local artisan coffee in bags.

waiting for the ferry and couldn't resist the home made burgers being grilled at the cart in-front of the store. Absolutely delicious!!
