Fun lunch spot. Had a tasty meatball sub here for lunch today. The Sammy was really tasty, with a nice sprinkle of cheese and some chopped basil. I also had a latte (they use Stumptown beans), which was competently prepared. <br/ <br/ A couple of notes: the counter staff were really helpful, and though there was a crowd waiting for their food when I arrived, the kitchen was flying and I got my lunch about 5 mins after ordering it. The long table was full of other people dining solo, like me, but it didn't feel like a cafeteria and I didn't feel like I needed to leave as soon as I was finished. I also liked that the order counter was by the front door, and the tables for eating in were behind...
Lost my business will not go back. After an unfortunate experience at Salty Tongue I will no longer be giving them my business. It was during a busy lunch hour where I experienced the management being verbally abusive towards a hard working staff member. This is unacceptable and unprofessional. When I asked the staff member who that was yelling at them they stated it was the owner. I was disgusted and I felt awful for the staff and for the customers.
Friendly service staff. Decent coffee. Good sandwiches. I go by here quite a bit because i work in the neighborhood. There are always different sandwich, soup and salads daily, which i enjoy because it never gets old. Sometimes the daily special is a miss, but for the most part its good.
Salty tongue cafe is a very nice cafe and the ambiance of this cafe is vibrant and really beautiful.the prices are also very reasonable and the food is tasty and delicious served with a smile by their staff
