Samarios NEVER disappoints. Some of the best Italian in town in my opinion. Some Italian food in town can be a little bland and run of the mill but not samarios. It is packed with flavor! We have only ever gotten takeout and they have been rude but that doesn't defer me in this situation. Last night we got the penne vodka, meatballs, gnocchi, and a chicken parm. Everything was warm, well made, and delicious! I can't wait to get everything again. (Only reason for four stars is because service can be a little curt so I have to do sit down dining and see if that is the same)
I liked this restaurant. The service was great, prices are reasonable. The place is very clean and a nice atmosphere. I had wings that were very good and stuffed mushrooms and french fries that were also very good. My one complaint was of the food I actually went there for... Pizza. The crust was surprisingly spongy for an Old Forge style pizza... The bottom line is I wouldn't go here specifically for pizza but I will try other things from the menu in the future.
I just ordered this salad and yes I understand the mozzarella is expensive but for $12.00 this was a rip off. The man that I spoke to on the phone was rude and didnt even ask to see why I was complaining. Samario's consistently delivers a great experience! We started with the mozzarella tower as an appetizer, and we absolutely loved it! The staff is always very friendly, and the restaurant is impeccably clean. Each visit is enjoyable, making it a true gem in Scranton. I highly recommend trying the chicken parmesan!

On Sunday, May 2nd, I arrived at the restaurant around 6:15 pm with the intention of placing a $60 takeout order. However, after some hesitation, I left without placing my order (something I have never done before in my life!).
The food at this restaurant is exceptional! The service is top-notch, the bread is freshly baked, the portions are generous, and the pasta is homemade. In short, what more can I say but excellent!
I have to say we tried a variety of dishes. I wasn't a big fan of the stuffed mushrooms, but the pizza was probably the best I've had in the area. Everything else we ordered was also delicious.
One of the best restaurants in the area. Take out is always fresh and delicious and dine in has great ambiance and wonderful service. Menu has options for every person in the family. Go here!

I ordered food for a special celebration in honor of my late husband's life. Everyone enjoyed the food just as much as Tom did! Kudos to the restaurant for making it a successful event!
The hype is real- got a traditional Old Forge cut and a double crust pie: both very good.
