Today , I went there and I was really not happy, one of the employees, had bad way of talking, as soon as I got in she asked do u have any allergies, I said yeah am vegetarian, she answered back this is not allergies is preferences , I said it’s she insisted and said do you be ill or sick if u eat any kind of meat , I said yes , then said okay in bad way . I don’t know how big restaurants like this don’t give training to employees to how speak to customers and not being teacher or boss on them and keep arguing and in the end I ask the bill . We usually use Fumo at Selfridges, Birmingham, for our mid shop lunch; so today we thought we'd check out the Northern version. The food was delicious I decided to go rougue from my usual options, and chose the Sicilian Aubergine Parmigiana; it was so good, I'll order again! Staff were friendly and everyone spoke Italian, which added to the experience. Quieter and smaller than the Birmingham restaurant but that's sometimes not a bad thing! ;o)
Nice experience at this San Carlo restaurant. Having been to multiple in Birmingham, this was one of the best experiences, with food and service being better than in Selfridges Birmingham. Restaurant is nicely decorated with great views across the main square.
The service experience was unsatisfactory as I waited for a considerable time, and one of the waitresses neglected to greet individuals who arrived after me, seemingly due to my hijab.

I think I have a new favourite Italian in the city! Very reasonably priced for generous portions and an extensive bar menu - what more could you ask for!
One of the best italian food I have had in Manchester! Certainly will be coming back again! While the portions aren't huge, the prices aren't either.
Had to book here as very busy. Really tasty tapas style Italian food. Fantastic friendly service ended with a great Lemon Tart.
