The appetizer for two is outrageously good, and every special we have had is worthy of its name, even though the regular menu is also spectacular. My family and I have been coming to San Remo for over 15 years. In all this time, we have never had a bad meal, never been treated poorly by the staff, and none of us has ever gotten sick. Yes, there have been times when we had to wait for a table with a reservation, especially on holidays or busy Saturday nights at 7:30pm. Just a few weeks ago, we saw a man verbally abuse the hostess because his table wasn't ready when he expected it to be. However, she handled the situation calmly and did her best to accommodate him. This restaurant has a refined yet casual atmosphere. It doesn't have any pretentious vibes, just delicious food, excellent service, and you can bring your own drinks. It reminds me of cozy spots in Greenwich Village or Little Italy. The food is tasty and the ambiance is very cozy. It's a go-to spot for us and there's usually no wait. It deserves to be more popular than it is, but I'm happy that I can always get a table, even on a busy Friday night! They do accept reservations if you prefer to secure a table in advance.
