This place certainly had the feel of places we used to frequent when we lived in Japan. Good service &ambiance. We both ordered the sushi/maki menu. Our salad of smoked fish and vegetables seasoned with a light dressing was perfect...our hearts started to rise...next came...the miso soup- it was delicate, but with just the right depth of flavor- so often, the miso soup in Japanese restaurants is a throw away. My husband I looked at each other and said, oh boy, maybe we've finally found a good Japanese restaurant in Boulogne Alas, our plate of sushi and maki came ; we silently ate, trying not to ruin each-other's experience by complaining. When you are a big fan of Japanese food you are always looking for a restaurant that do not compromise with this type of requirement. Sanki is small Japanese restaurant which provides you not only with traditional Japanese food sushi and sahimis but...also with dishes that you probably never tried before. These are very original and you will live a very good experience. The owners are Japanese and therefore extremely polite. One recommendation to the owners : your dishes are so original that you may want to consider providing customers with photo of what clients may order. No chance to enter this place if you were not recommended to go before... Located at the outskirts of Porte de St Cloud (nearby Parc des Princes), Sanki is proposing a delicious, super fresh, Japanese cuisine. First positive sign is to have Japanese customers in...the restaurant. Second positive sign being the staff being Japanses, and not Chinese as in many other so-called Japanese restaurants. Finally, the quality of the food is just awesome. Place is very small, so highly recommended to book in advance but they also propose take-away. Sushi, sashimi, maki... are just great. They also propose tempura but we didn't try.
Very Authentic Japanese restaurant in Boulogne Billancourt city. The decoration, the smell and the staff and even the customers are very Japan like atmosphere. Food is fresh, mostly fish. Lunch menu are generous and exquisite. Worth the trip for true Japanese fish seekers.
