We have been coming to the Pine Tavern for years. We had patio seating and the temperature. was perfect with a slight breeze. We were a group of 6 people. The rueben sandwich was very dry ... not much 1000 island dressing. One person in our group ordered ginger ale and when he asked for a refill he was not informed that the ginger ale was not a free refill and charged them a second drink. We all thought the server should have explained that this was from the bar and not a free refill. Otherwise we had a very good time together.
Unfortunately, we didn't enjoy the marinated octopus cold appetizer as much. It was fairly bland and needed a lot of lemon to enhance the flavor. The spanakopita and stuffed eggplant were decent, but not exceptional in our opinion. We also tried a Fix (Greek) beer, which was a new and interesting experience for us.
The service was excellent and we had everything we needed.
We had a group of 7 and the restaurant sat us down straight away, service was quick, excellent recommendations and good quality food. The staff were friendly, fun and professional, making the food feel upscale but reasonably priced. The location is fantastic right in the river and lots of sights to see all around. We will definitely be back on our next trip to Bend!
The food at this restaurant is excellent. The atmosphere is very comfortable and the staff is exceptional. I will definitely be coming back and highly recommend that you visit too. I would recommend making a reservation as it can get very busy very quickly. One more thing, the Sangria was delicious.

Santorini Greek Taverna has been in Calgary as long as I can remember. So it's a huge surprise that this is my first time visiting. The food is spot on. Service is excellent. We had a couple platters so we could try everything. Calamari and Mousaka is our favorite. Lamb chops were also delicious.
French onion soup - superb; Elch Spezial - wine / blueberry reduction great, but Elch was dry; Fettuccine Alfredo was sticky, not creamy, and a little too salty; I expected better.
Excellent quality of the food. Polite and efficient service. Everything was fresh and testy. Prices are reasonable. One of the best Greek restaurants we have been.
This is a point of contact for us on Sunday afternoons because of the consistently good food, the nice atmosphere and the attentive service.

The best Greek meal we have ever had! The owners and all the staff were wonderful and the restaurant atmosphere is really lovely.
