Lovely location on the river front. Stopped by for a coffee. Service OK although the waitress did deliver some of our coffees in the saucers having had difficulty negotiating the steps and crossing the road from the restaurant to the terrace. As has been reported by others there was an issue with the waitress not having change but with a bit of creative accounting we managed to sort it out. Coffee was fine whilst watching the sunset.Another time we stopped by for ice cream. Ice creams in the cabinet not labelled, no board detailing flavours and little help offered by the server to explain the flavours available. Needless to say we didn't bother to stay.
Stopped for lunch after canoeing down from Le Bugue. Beautiful setting overlooking the river but took ages for us to be served and the food was grim. Club sandwich was made with processed sliced white bread, and cheap tasteless filling. 'Tarte' was a few slices of thin toast with a pat of onion/tomato confit and slice of melted cheese on top. Chips were OK. There is so much better food to be had in the Dordogne- would definitely not recommend this restaurant.
This restaurant is overlooking the Dordogne (stunning), it comprises of an outside eating space opposite the main restaurant and the main restaurant itself. Service was a bit slow, disappointed to be told we couldn't have an omelette alfresco as only a very limited menu offered outside. Had to ask on a number of occasions for the bill. Food was average, pasta in a box, could easily give it a miss in the future. Coffee was really good.
waitresses obviously not of the trade, little avenging, you have to move, cross a road to look for what you ordered ... the waitress has forgotten.idem for the check, in short we will not return.
