The sushi chef was highly attentive and tailored the omakase to suit each of our individual preferences. One of the greatest compliments we can give is that my wife, who typically doesn't eat fish and has never enjoyed sushi, absolutely loved it! I highly recommend this restaurant. Additionally, we began our LA vacation at Sasabune and felt compelled to return to conclude our trip. The staff were incredibly gracious, and the sushi chef remembered our tastes, making it a wonderful way to end our experience.
Believe me, the sushi here is truly exceptional! My only regret is that I didn't take photos of all the dishes served during my ultimate sushi course. When you visit, make sure to try their unique creamy wasabi in small amounts; it enhances the flavors of everything and makes each bite even more delicious!
We were in SoCal for a few days and our plans fell through. Sasabune was super-accommodating and able to seat us on short notice. It should've been Plan A. It's a very Tokyo-style menu. No goofy rolls, tempura, or avocado. Just outstanding ingredients and spare, purposeful technique.
The food is incredible. I was recommended this place from a friend. We got the albacore sashimi, salmon sashimi, bono sashimi, tuna sashimi, crispy rice tuna, and miso soup. I also got a tuna hand roll that was really tasty.

The sushi is on point! This place is small and cozy with excellent service. If you guys think sugarfish/kazunori has a good blue crab hand roll, then Sasabune's will blow your mind away.
Does sushi here is very on point. You need to taste each food with all of its flavors. I would 100% recommend this and this is a very affordable place also
This place is by far the best sushi place in Hawaii and better than all other branches in LA and NY. Just go and you won’t be disappointed, Trust me!!
The delivery was quick, and the food was fresh and delicious. It makes me reconsider why I choose Sugarfish when Sasabune is an option.
