We arrived minutes early understanding the busy dinner rush during the vierschanzentournee (ski jumping qualifications). It was a little hectic, but we ended up sharing a table with other guests (Yes-we had a reservation). We ordered drinks, a salad, and two entrees. The waiter...forgot the salad (also was not on the bill) and we received the entrees within minutes of one another. The schnitzel and pork steak entrees were delicious. When one drink was finished, the waiter offered to bring another and we agreed. What a wait! By the time we were done with our food, the second beer arrived... poor timing and not even a full beer. I visited Sascha Kachelofen on a snowy Monday evening at the end of February. It was pretty busy when I arrived just before and you really need to book during the season for a table. I was offered a choice of sharing with some...other guests, or a bar stool and a small table which I took. The waiters were all very attentive, beer was good. I ordered a rather non-Bavarian dish of Wienerschnitzel which arrived after about minutes or so. The waiter brought the side salad as a starter' in the interim. Booked a table for dinner and pleased we had every other table was taken when we arrived at ten past eight. Clearly popular with locals and visitors. We were given a big corner table plenty of room for the children to play cards...while ordering. Good selection on the menu including options for the boys. And friendly services prompt, but never hurrying us.
Excellent meal at Saschas. Having enjoyed eating at this restaurant twice last February we decided to try it again on our annual winter visit to Oberstdorf in Once again food was delicious and our waiter kind and helpful. Look out for the delightful paintings...of cows hanging around the restaurant all done by resident artist, Maria Diestelcamp.

on the menu you will find a vegan dish, but it was really delicious: an acidic spice strängel with salad. my friend had noodles with pumpkin and feta and I find it a scandal that they did not do this, for example as a vegan dish. but overall the restaurant is pleasant and cozy.
We were only int town for one night and we saw lots of people eating food outside and it looked delicious so we decided on dinner here. We were not disappointed great food, great beer and good value.
