Last night my wife and I hosted a couple we are both friendly with to celebrate a birthday. My wife had booked about a week ahead because this tiny restaurant only has 14 seats.Japanese cuisine is a particular favourite of my wife and the couple but even I who favour French/Mediterranean cuisines, was extremely impressed (again) with the flavours and freshness of the food. Our choices last night ranged from prawns, scallops, duck to beef all of which were delicious. In the tiny kitchen which can be seen from the tables, the non-Japanese chef, his Japanese wife and assisting staff, turn out an amazing quantity of food because they also have a busy take-away trade. The café is BYO wines and beer...

This small restaurant, looks quite basic - laminated tables, disposable chop sticks, but FANTASTIC FOOD & SERVICE. I had Soft Shell crab with Japanese pancake, and it was very tasty, my friends had Chilli prawns - 'Great as usual', and Chicken Ribs with Pork Belly in sticky sauce, which was very tasty and enjoyable. I was encouraged to try the cheese cake - a specialty made by this Japanese Restaurant - it was extremely light and after an initial unusual taste, (different from normal cheesecake) I loved it, and was served with dried apricots in syrup. These friends often go there, but it was my first visit, and definitely be returning. Freshly cooked food, and friendly service.

What a pleasant find!A 15 seater, cute little local Japanese restaurant which reminded us of family run izakaya's in Japan. Licensed, serving a well priced selection of beer and wines. Excellent selection of entrees, mains, noodles etc. We over-ordered because we wanted to try everything; however we managed to finish it all! Small selection of deserts and we were offered a taste of a bean paste with walnuts before we decided on what to order. Macha ice cream was excellent; although the lemon tart was a little bitter and not as enjoyable as we'd hoped. Nevertheless, we loved dining here & will be back. Staff were very friendly & helpful.

We went back to this nice little café with a friend for the first time in a couple of years. The food was as good as the previous times we had been there, including once when we were there in a party of 16. We took up every seat in the place. This time we shared three entrees and one main course. The prawn entrée was excellent in quality and value - 6 prawns for $14. We also had the Japanese potato croquettes and the ginger spiced calamari. The main course was the soft shell crab and it was delightful. The café is small and the staff have to work in a very small area but the food is served quickly and it top notch.Well worth going back. Book a table now

Whilst this restaurant is located in a very small shop there is plenty to eat. The menu is quite large and there were specials on a board as well. The seating places are fairly limited but it is clear that they also do a substantial takeaway trade.I note it is licensed with modest range.Atmosphere is "shop".I will be back.Note that they are not open Sun/Mon and they do not stay open all that late.Their website is helpful with lots of photos that matched what I saw when I was there.

Satsuki is definitely one of my favourite places to eat, if not my very favourite. The food is fantastic. The value for money is fantastic. The service is fantastic (Grace is absolutely lovely). In fact, it's all just fantastic! The cafe is tiny, and because it's very popular you must book if you want to get in for dinner. The location and the size of this place give no indication of how good it is. Can't recommend highly enough.

We found this in trip advisor and the reviews were spot on!Food is tasty, good service but a little bit squashy but it was a great dining experience. We were all first timers and we were so happy. Value for money, cute little eatery. BYO too which makes it even better

This place is worth a visit. It is a very small cafe but in summer you can choose to eat at one of the tables outside. They serve a great variety of Japanese dishes made on the premises. We had the duck with rice and it was amazing. Book a table now

Our family had been here before but we hadn't & we were in for a real treat, everything that arrived at our table was magnificent, quite possibly the BEST Japanese food I've had.
