I love Indian food deeply. When I don't have time to make it at home, Sawan is my go-to. They aren't the closest place to me, but worth a drive to dine in or take out. Super fresh, super nice staff, master-class cuisine. Oh, and great prices to boot. If there is any criticism, it's that when you ask for extra-spicy, it doesn't seem to happen. The meal begins with complimentary papads served with three different dipping sauces, ranging from savory to sweet to slightly spicy. The papads are a bit salty, but provide a nice crunchy start to the meal. We ordered the chicken makhani, lamb Rogan Josh, sag paneer, and garlic naan. I can't praise this restaurant enough! The directions were followed perfectly and the food was not only authentic but also delicious! I haven't tried the bread yet, but I'm sure it's just as amazing as the main dishes. The meat was incredibly tender and the flavors were fantastic without being too spicy.
