First visit here and, WOW! We will be back! Great food and generous portions. Extensive menus to suit all tastes and the beer is very good and at the right price! Judging by the crowd there when we attended, it is a well known and popular spot. Good recommendation when looking for a place to eat! The copper vats and soft lighting add to a great atmosphere.

We visited here with a group of friends - pre-booking is advised. They brew their own beer here, which was excellent. You can see the beer being brewed from inside and tours are also available. The food is simple traditional German (at least Germanic) food, which comes in ample portions and is well-priced. Highly recommended!

Every year my wife and I go to her home town of Braunschweig and come here to eat their fantastic schnitzel, drink their fantastic own-brewed beer. Another thing I love is the lighting, as they have poker-style lamps which come down very low, making it an nice dark and cozy atmosphere, but you can still see your food clearly.

I stay in Braunschweig on business very often. I have to say this place forms part of my routine. Stay at the fourside and eat and drink here. You can't go wrong. The beer really is fresh, and the honest food to go with it really makes it hard to go elsewhere!

Friendly welcome for a business dinner. Excellent beer, personally I preferred the Merzen dark beer, but the fresh Weizen wheat beer was also a great option. The traditional food was excellent, with large portions and keen prices. Recommended.

Didn't exactly find this place accidentally as it faced the hotel I stayed in, light and dark beer brewed on the premises the light being my favourite of the two, cheap, cheerful and nice staff what's not to like.

The Locals gather here to see football. Very nice beer that they produce in the house. Large menu but very few options for vegetarians. Often crowded so remember to book a table.
