The cuisine in this lovely little place on the quiet corner in Offenbach is best described as shades of topf interesting combinations cooked to death into mousses of green and grey and similar taste. Its hard to say what was what out of...the courses we had as the taste was consistent during the and a half hours of our dinner. minutes later after we sat down we were given a menu and minutes later our wine a nice choice which was made by the somelier, because there is no wine card, only the roulette of blind choices. This is our favourite restaurant, which serves amazing new food creations every time we go there. The prices are not in a range that would allow us to enjoy Schaumahl food every week, but whenever we go on special occasions the quality of food and...service are absolutely worth it. We've been to other more expensive restaurants in Frankfurt, but would always recommend Schaumahl to anyone who is looking for a special treat at a fair price. Staff is very attentive and knowledgeable. I would always trust them to propose excellent corresponding wines. The wine menue offers really good international choice.
I went with a friend who is a regular at SchauMahl and between the two of us we had the entire menu so I cold sample everything complete happiness ensued. Really fantastic dishes came out of the kitchen paired with wines that made me...want to bring bottles home. From the amuse-bouche I immediately knew I was in for a treat. This is Michelin star food without the stuffiness or price. Get the foie gras!
Restaurant Schaumahl is a gem in an unexpected location with an outstanding creative and delicious menu. The service is impeccable, personal and extremely knowledgeable. Didn't know the restaurant which happened to be the networking dinner location during a seminar. Went there with not much expectations and left there after a truly pleasant evening with delicious food and matching wines. The guys hosting us did everything to make this...visit a pleasant and remarkable one.
Some of the most delicious food I've ever had; I have been here many times and never been disappointed. My guess is the only reason they don't have a Michelin star yet is because of the warm, friendly service (who give spot-on recommendations for wine...pairings too). Gourmet food for amazing value.
You would probably not expect to find a great fine dining restaurant in Offenbach, but actually Schaumahl is one of the very best in the region and well worth the drive from Frankfurt. Spectacular food, a great wine list, friendly service and one of the...coolest bathrooms on the planet.
This is one of the best restaurants in the area. The menu is very interesting, with very interesting combinations of food. Great experience. There is also a very nice winelist, so you can have the right wine with your meal. Very nice staff that guide...you through your great meal. :
