The Schaumburg is a great excursion destination for small and large in the Rinteln and surroundings. The ascent can take place on foot or by car to the parking lot. It does not cost an entrance and the view from the castle to the Schaumburger Land is very beautiful. I can recommend the ascent to the tower. Here there is a round view of reward that is really worth it. For ascent, a can is asked to receive a 50 cent contribution. The restaurant and snack were unfortunately closed and can therefore not be appreciated, but the ascent is worth it.
Beautiful castle, tower and courtyard are to be visited, the gastronomy is unfortunately closed due to the current Corona location. For historically interested people, thanks to the signs, also a useful source of information. For a donation of 0.50€, the freely accessible tower can be enjoyed with a super view. Unfortunately, we caught more today and couldn't see it. But it was worth it!
Very old castle going back to the century. Beside a restaurant you can also make a guided tour in the castle. As this castle survived a lot of centuries it is a combination of different styles. A visit is required to understand it all....Restaurant is very good with a specific atmosphere. Great food together with great wine. What else would you want.
Today we drove by car to the parking lot, then on foot. It was worth it. The view over the Weserbergland was enormous, at the end of a totally rainy day we were actually reconciled with beautiful autumn prospects. How about clear weather? The 50 cents per nose for the tower ascent are fair and the ascent a small adventure

Beautiful place to explore history and enjoy the view. Free access. The tower can be climbed for 50cent, on a trust basis. To stand in centuries of old architecture and get an impression of life at that time. The buildings are beautiful. My 5 year old daughter was thrilled. A beautiful family trip.

Great atmosphere, you breathe the touch of history. Unfortunately, that is no longer on site. Even a kiosk would certainly be frequented by several visitors.

Very nice little castle. A trip there is definitely worth it. The view from the tower is great.
