Franz Ferdinand's palace-museum is in a handsome building, fascinatingly evokes the momentous history it was intimately intertwined with and overlooks lovely countryside towards the Alps. The cafe is inside the building and is cute, with inside and outside sitting areas and lots of interesting things on the walls related to the ill-fated Archduke and Archduchess. We enjoyed beer, coffee, peppermint tea and an excellent pair of Frankfurters with freshly grated horseradish, plus mustard and a semmel. They also do goulash soup and a 'Franz-Ferdinand toast', known elsewhere in the German-speaking world by the less grand name of 'Spezial Toast'. Infinitely preferable to the ludicrous Schlossgasth...

Die Ignoranz, wie in der einzigen bisherigen Bewertung beschrieben, können wir in keinster Weise bestätigen.Wir wurden sehr freundlich von einem jüngeren Mann empfangen und bedient.Verlängerter, Maracujaschnitte, Strongbow und Debreciner waren sehr gut und perfekt temperiert (was wir leider nicht überall hatten). Das Preisgefüge ist kaum höher als um die Ecke.Wir saßen gemütlich im offenen Wintergarten und genossen Minuten der Ruhe.
We wait 30 minutes on the terrace. Everyone who came after that was there first. We even went to the bar itself to order the girl said she would come “Sofort”, but was first with other guests. We made this comment to her, but no excuses. Unacceptable. Very slow. Come with Austrian people, maybe you get a normal attention.

Leider wurde wir nach 15min warten auf der Terrasse nicht bedient.Schade. Das Museum ist jedoch zu empfehlen
