Schloßtaverne Mörwald

Spent New Year's eve at the restaurant, that featured a multiple course menu, not cheap. The food was good, but not excellent,portions on our table were rather different in size. And when we approached midnight, honestly, we thought that at least a glass of sparkling wine would be served, on the house But no, we had to order extra glasses. Hence only an average. In a top class restaurant, which is not the cheapest, one would expect and bit of generosity on a very special day. Staff was very, very nice though.. the poor guys also didn't get anything to toast and welcome the New Year...

Our 4 course meal was very good except the dessert was a little bit disappointing. The cover was very good very fresh and different kind of rolls with excellent home made spreads and fruit juices like plums. The parking place could be more solid. If it rains you have to get out into the mud. The servce was very competent off all questions

A magnificent setting: the park, the schloss, the concert hall, the hotel and restaurant! What a shame that food quality in the restaurant did not match the really high levels of early visits to Morwald at Feuersbrunn...! Even a simple schweinsschnitzel was greasy, the gulasch was not up to par at all... Not value for money.

After almost three weeks there, I can say they made me lose three or four kilograms. Sometimes there wasn’t enough food for everyone. Sometimes, the food came 30 minutes late. Sometimes it was just peas... But everytime was disgusting. Tasteless food and 9 out of 10 was absolutely inedible.

I wish I could post a nice review but unfortunately, this has been my worst experience. Having two weeks of eating this tasteless food is something I never want again. 1 out of 10 meals you get is actually edible, not enjoyable, edible!!!
