Nach viertem Besuch im Schmidstübli in Brunnen SZ, grosse Enttäuschung! Weisse, nicht frische Tischdecke. Dünne, buntbedruckte Papierservietten vom Billigsten. Bedienung inakzeptabel! Kellner total inkompetent und überfordert. Offensichtlich Neuling, der von den teilweise herumstehenden Damen an der Theke, Unterstützung gebraucht hätte. Essen einwandfrei, wie gewohnt! Man überliess uns unserem Schicksal. Nach langer, viel zu langer Zeit, wurden endlich die leeren Teller abgeräumt. Keine Frage, ob es geschmeckt hat, ob wir einen Wunsch hätten, Kaffee, Dessert. Last week I had lunch in this restaurant. I have eaten here several times in the last few years. Very friendly staff who make you feel welcome. I have dogs and so the outside patio seating is perfect. Lots of lovely large planters giving an...almost exotic feel. The interior of the restaurant is large, airy and well appointed. The location of this restaurant is fantastic with spectacular views. The menu has a nice selection of dishes and specials with quality ingredients. I have enjoyed the salads here previously, but it was a cold day and so I tried the Schnitzel paniert (pork in breadcrumbs) with fries and fresh seasonal vegetables. It was very tasty and I would be happy to choose it again...
Brunnen is a small town at lakeside, a perfect place to stop for lunch when you cruise Lake Lucerne on boat for more than an hour from Lucerne. The restaurant is lakefront, just across the street from the Waldstattersee stop. The restaurant’s is very clean...and charming. Outside sitting is a great place to have a cup of coffee, and watch boats coming and going with a vintage point of Lake Lucerne turning degree amount mountains. My husband had pork, and I had fish, which were all came with salad. They were all good, but fish had bones, it was fine with me, might not be good for people who cannot handle fish bones. Kleines Hotel direkt an der Seestrasse. Kleines, neu renoviertes Zimmer/Bad sehr sauber, war als Einzelperson im einem Doppelzimmer. Zu zweit wäre es recht eng gewesen. Kleiner Balkon zum sitzen für 2. Wunderschöne Aussicht, nahe bei der Schiffstation, gute Busverbindungen. Frühstück ok. Aber nicht "überwältigend". Achtung es hat auch Zimmer seitlich da hat man direkt eine Hauswand vor der Nase...beim Buchen beachten.

Vor einigen Jahren haben wir im Schmidstübli schon mal gegessen und uns wieder auf Rösti gefreut. Leider waren sie nicht mehr auf der Karte. Wir haben uns für Tessiner Safranrisotto entschieden, eine gute Wahl. Die Bedienung war freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Preise sind allerdings gewöhnungsbedürftig. Wechselkurs Euro - SFr 1:1
Wir wurden freundlich empfangen. Im Hotel haben wir nicht gegessen sondern übernachte. Das Zimmer ist sehr schön und modern, mit schönem Badezimmer. Tolle Lage des Hotels. Die Parkplätze sind etwas weiter weg. Morgenessen konnten wir leider nicht bewerten.
Waren bereits zum vierten Mal hier zum Essen, sehr freundliches Personal, das Essen war lecker, eher bescheidene Auswahl, aber es hat für jeden Geschmack etwas, mit den schönen Blumen und Palmen eine wirklich schöne Oase!Wir kommen sehr gerne hierher.
We ate here while staying at the hotel and the food was exceptional! The Schnitzel was very crispy outside and super tender inside. The sole was amazing as well. The staff is amazing and you can not beat the view of beautiful Lake Lucerne!

We ate here on a half board basis for the nights of our stay in the Schmid Alfa hotel and enjoyed excellent food, and friendly efficient service. AND it was great value for money.
My friend and I ate breakfast here. The buffet was well stocked and the offerings were of excellent quality. Add to that good coffee, and it was a winning combination.
