Havent eaten here in 4 years.. I stopped in with my husband, and to my surprise after chatting him up to go.. The seasonal chocolate sprinkles doughnut was honestly kind of stale tasting.. The creame filled french horn was amazing, the bovarian creame was ok.. The toppings are kind of scarce as well. Although, ill always come back for small town businesses..
It's a charming family-owned bakery, and I would definitely return. They offer a variety of donuts, bread, cookies, and even some souvenirs for purchase. Although it's small, the quality is great, and the staff is exceptionally friendly.
These are the best pumpkin cookies I've ever had! They're so delicious that they almost overshadow the Halloween spirit for me. Thank you for all your hard work! People even drive from Mankato just to get a taste of them!
In my 53 years, I've never been able to find a bakery that could even come close to Schmidt's bakery and I've lived in Arizona, Nevada, Colorado, Tennessee, Alabama, Minnesota and South Dakota.. best of the best Book a table now
