Schnabuleum - Table reservation

Despite booking through our premier banking service who incidentally used a German Speaking agent and checking the day before arrival that our booking was secured, we arrived to be met by an extremely rude manager who denied all knowledge of the booking subsequently, Barclays have...checked the recorded telephone booking confirmation and both times the manager accepted the booking. We showed the manager the email confirmation , but again were met with a stony faced refusal to admit the booking and no inclination to accommodate our party of After trawling around all the restaurants in Monschau we were finally accepted into the Pizza restaurant in the square who seemed to be the only restauran...

I knew that our chances of getting a table would be slim on a Sunday of a holiday weekend, but I thought it was worth a try. There was a table for five my party's size in the outsideseating area, and the hostess said we...could take it. Not more than five minutes after we sat down around she told us the kitchen was closed no more food. The sign outside the restaurant said that the hours were So either they weren't prepared for a holiday weekend crowd, or they arbitrarily close the kitchen when the kitchen staff wants to. Either one is unacceptable. On the up side, the mustard, wine, and spirits shop on the property is well worth a visit

We had this place in mind from day one ! We already visited the shop and the wine cellar at the by now famous Monschauer Senf Mühle. The restaurant is nice and the food is very good! However the Kaese Spaetzle were missing a bit...of flavor. The highlight was the kids choice for 0 eur ! I've never seen this before see picture ! The service is prompt, friendly and professional! This place is definitely a good choice in Monschau! And you can always enjoy some delicatessen shopping at the mustard mill just across the parking! Enjoy! Ps. Call for reservations it might get busy

The restaurant is not very large but serves excellent food with a variety of traditional dishes at reasonable prices. The service was excellent and very friendly giving you time to consider the various options. It is a popular restaurant in the area and if possible...advisable to book

With my distant german relations we enjoyed a course menu with an accapella group between courses. So good singing in both english and german with good food served in gemutlich surroundings. One should like mustard for this set menu although it was possible to...vary the menu
