We did a small trip to the Schopper Alm few days ago and really enjoyed everything there- the location, the beautiful house of this restaurant, the wonderful playground for kids infront and of course the food and the service we got while our little one was playing around. The way there through the gorge takes some 1 hour, maybe 1,5 with kids when they stop for playing in the river or forest around. There are some 200 stairs so is not feasible for a pram, but there were people there also with cars - so must be possible as well. We have visited this place on Sunday, around midday. There were plenty of available tables outside, so we have decided that it will not take too long to get our food. After waiting for more than an hour I have asked the waitress about delay. She only shrugged her shoulders and said that the order for lunch was placed and now it is out of her hands. After waiting for another 40 minutes we were totally commited to wait more since it would take long hike to get back to the car. After total wait time of two hours I went to speak with the owner, who was reluctant to answer any questions and did not care to serve some small appetisers to my starving kid since there were other orders for food ahead...
We went to this restaurant which is very well located and also nicely decorated in an alpine style. We have had real difficulties to get the attention of the people doing the service. Asking them we even have rude answers from some of them saying that they were not taking the orders! After all these difficulties we ordered some food and then, waited for a very long time to have our food (45 minutes). This place will always have customers, due to its location, but they should really raise their standards regarding the customers care.
Ausgezeichnet geführter Familienbetrieb mit vielen Schmankerl der bayerischen Küche und guter Kuchen- bzw. Schnapsauswahl. Rustikal-gemütlicher Innenbereich und nette Terrasse. Zusätzlich gibt es einen Streichelzoo, Kinderspielplatz und eine kleine "Gokart-strecke". Nach kleiner Wanderung per pedes bzw. bequem per Auto zu erreichen. Besonders freundliches und "bodenständiges" Personal. Besonders die Damen des Hauses, Sabina und Sophia, bestechen durch guten Service . Jederzeit einen Abstecher wert!

Durch Facebook wurden wir auf die Schopper-Alm aufmerksam. Wir machten uns zeitig auf den Weg, um auf der besagten Alm zu frühstücken. Die Frühstücks-Karte lässt keine Wünsche offen. Meine Spiegeleier mit Speck waren ok, das Brezen-Krusti war sehr schmackhaft. Der Cappuccino war dünn, mit wenig Schaum. Die Bedienung war freundlich. Die Toiletten sehr sauber, wirken neu und modern gestaltet.
Bobby Car Rennbahn, Wasserspielplatz und offener Stall -Dazu ein riesiges Schnitzel (€11,90) gebracht von einer sehr netten und umsichtigen Bedienung (obwohl schon einiges los war) Hier kehrt man wirklich gerne ein und wie im Titel schon geschrieben, ist das ein wahres Paradies für Kinder...Schon allein die "Anreise" über die Gießenbachklamm ist gigantisch :-) Klare Empfehlung also!!!
Great restaurant located in the middle of the Bavarian mountains! You can either walk up there (recommended if you like hiking and nature walks) or drive! I always enjoy the local beer served there after the hike up!
Die Schopper Alm ist fußläufig leicht zu erreichen, dem Wanderer werden keine großen Anforderungen gestellt. zur regulären Karte gibt es die wechselnde Tageskarte. Sehr schöner Innenraum und tipitopi Sanitärbereich.

Interessanter Aufstieg von Kiefersfelden über die Giessenbachklamm zum urigen Gasthaus mit Ziegen und Abenteuerspielplatz. Gute Brotzeiten, Kaffee und Kuchen.Schöne Terrasse.
Nette Alm am Ende der Gießenbachklamm - sehr für Kinder geeignet!!!Einfache Alm mit bayrisch-tiroler Speisen. Spielplatz und Ziegengehege für Kinder.
