1) They only take cash which they don’t let you know 2) card payment doesn’t work for people outside Switzerland 3) the MAIN problem was how rude the person waiter and owners were… they didn’t think I understood their language as we only spoke English so they openly mocked us with other customers for the whole last 20mins we were there and when we they were confronted they said we “miss understood” them…. They were the most racist people I’ve met DONT RECOMMENT IF UR NOT FROM THAT AREA I’m so upset and disappointed I hope they can learn to be more professional and respectful as that won’t hurt anyone
Best cordon blue ever! The fries are awesome too and the salad dressing is to die for. I’ve visited the Schuetzenmaettli dozens of times over the past 30 some years and have never been disappointed. I’ve been living in Canada for over 20 years, but whenever I visit family and friends in Switzerland, dinner at the Schuetzenmatt is on the top of my list! Prices are great, portions are generous, the service is great and friendly, the restaurant is quaint (but small, so reservations are recommended), and it is situated in a beautiful location in the countryside. Highly recommend!
We had probably best cordon bleau ever. The salad sauce was also unique and supertasty. Clean, in the middle of a beautiful countryside landscape, friendly service (we did jot have cash with us and they handed over a payment slip). Strongly recommended with children as well. Is very small therefore book in advance! the prices are also very very good for the quality and the sizes served. We will definitely go back.
Great for schnitzel and cordon bleu. Simply always very nice! Down-to-earth cuisine, sensational homemade salad dressing, fair prices.
