Wonderful and lively range of vendors growing rapidly each year. I would estimate half produce and raw goods, including 1-2 organic farms, and half prepared goods, from microgreens to prepared dinners, and of course from soup to nuts. Perhaps 30 or more vendors total, with many, many winning vendors. Chance to get to know your farmers, the pace of the harvest, as well as see folks from Scotch Plains, Fanwood and the other neighboring towns (including Scotch Plains Gardening Club, which hands out free seeds sometimes! . We really enjoy this market. Fresh vegetables, nice plants, good other vendors. We’ve been going for several years and miss the market in the winter. We’ve built light relationships with a couple of the vendors and look forward to talking with them. Best local farmers market.
It's just ok. Good variety of vendors but you have to sell a kidney to buy anything. Soups stand charging $14, bread at $12 and a few other pricey options. I had one of the worst $4 cookies I ever ate at the market place. It was dry, clumpy and tasteless.
Always fresh veggies and fruits and novelty foods....and alcohol as a kicker...??
