Semilla Escondida - Table reservation

I would teeter on giving this place two stars but the crepes are good and the people are nice. The food itself is underwhelming. We got a prawn dish and a spaghetti with beef and vegetable dish. The prawns were pretty small, nothing like you'd get in Cali in terms of size, texture or quality, but the same quantity and price. They had almost no flavor except a hint of Pastis liquor they used in the pan (nothing like the lobster al pastis at La Cocotte, the best restaurant in Cauca/Valle de Cauca). I love seafood but I had to fight to finish this dish. I was not particularly full either, I had a light crepe Suzette (pretty good but also hard to mess up) and they do not serve bread or anything...

We walked 1.5km north from our Hotel Arcada Payanesa to search this fine lunch spot(500 m northeast of the Bus Terminal/Exito) along a row of houses. A board on the sidewalk posted the 'Menu del Dia'(most diners were choosing); but we were here for a distinct break from the local gastronomy. After finding 2 seats among the fully packed dining room, we ordered from the al a carte menu, several pages of crepes; ham and Emmental crepe, chicken and mushroom in bechamel sauce crepe, and lemonade. There was a board showing a variety of French desserts but we chose from the menu list of dessert crepes. definitivamente no de deja de sorprenderme la creatividad la elaboración y de talle que se esmera en expresar en su arte culinario el chef y sus ayudantes, un almuerzo no solo llamativo sino, una experiencia de deleite amabilidad, sensaciones al comensal exigente y conocedor básico de gastronomía y buena mesa, donde encontrara algo para salir de la rutina, muy bien atendidos, amables, buen vino, exquisita comida muy llamativas opciones vegetarianas.

Es un sitio muy agradable y tranquilo. Su comida diaria es muy suave y saludable y la variedad nos ha permitido conocer la gastronomía de algunos países del mundo. Finalmente la atención es muy calidad y oportuna.Nos encanta almorzar en familia en la Semilla escondida.
