Had a few drinks and snacks this afternoon with some good friends. We ordered the grilled chorizo with mushrooms and deglazed pedro ximinez, porcini and taleggio arancini balls with tomato sugo, altos beef carpaccio with thyme and black pepper and the Fremantle octopus with tomato salad with fresh herbs and lemon XV oil. The chorizo was delicious that I finished it and ordered another! The mushrooms were juicy and the whole dish itself was tasty! The arancini balls were ok. I recently went to the Sentinel for lunch with a friend and we both ordered the beef burger for $26. The beef pattie was terrible and would not recommend this place if you are looking for a nice burger. For the price I expected quality but both my friend and I could not eat the pattie. The chips were delicious and it was well presented but still not worth what we paid for it. I would not eat at this venue again. The waiter asked us if something was wrong with the beef pattie, we explained to him that it had to much grisel in it but there was no apology.
We went for dinner. Service was poor and the food was overpriced. And like many restaurants in Perth people shout when they talk and being a bar it is even worse. So if you want to have a quiet dinner and be able to hear your partner or talk without the need for shouting then forget about this place but again probably you should forget about 90% of restaurants in Perth as people normally don't have respect for other tables at all and think everyone else needs to hear their conversation.
Went back to the Sentinel for the first time in a while well worth the visit had salt cod croquettes starter also cheese fondue both were really good and well worth the price.mains we had the eye fillet this was one of the nicest steaks in Perth cooked very well and rested just right Delicious also had the wagu burger again a really tasty burger definitely worth a revisit just for the burger alone but will not leave our return to the Sentinel bar & grill to long next time

Complete shemozzle. Either we were on candid camera or these guys had no idea what they were doing.
Let me summarise: staff forgot the starters and brought out the mains first; still water was mixed with sparkling water in glasses; sides were ordered but never delivered; mains were clearly left under a warmer after being prepared too early, making the food soggy.
For an expensive venue, it was an unacceptable showing. We didn't risk coffee.
Came here for a late bite after an event and I was thoroughly underwhelmed. I have such fond memories of Altos. Sitting in the dark on high stools on the way to the facilities, eating amazing food. Sadly this isn't Altos Mk2. Service required an above head wave, the food came after a substantial wait and when it did arrive it was only passable. Maybe it was a bad night.
Delicious, great service with a fantastic wine menu. If you are looking to treat that special client or friend to a great CBD lunch or dinner look no further. We were a table of 6 and everything that we ordered was as tasty as the next. Higher prices but no more than you would expect for this location and definitely worth it.
Great steaks. I think this place is a mini scale rockpool. I love it. I've never had a bad meal here and while the prices are not cheap they are very conducive to the terrace.
