My partner and I recently stayed at Serafino Wines for a two night Winter getaway. On the first night there, we dined at the Serafino restaurant and could not fault our experience, describing the food as one of our best meals to date. We shared the Slow roasted lamb shoulder, which is a share plate for 2-3 people, as well as the cauliflower and smoked almonds as a side. Returned to the restaurant for our Wedding Anniversary for a meal. We were looked after and the food was great, very knowledgeable staff when we asked what certain items on the menu actually tasted like. The quantity of food that you get is a good size and we were (as usual) nicely full when we left. Will certainly keep returning for special occasions and when we have guests from overseas to stay. We only go mid-week as we find that it is too busy and therefore way too noisy at the weekends, would be fine for bigger parties on the busier days but you would not get the intimate experience you want as a couple. Absolutely wonderful evening out. The staff were very attentive and welcoming, with a lovely balance of high service, delivered with warmth. Food was amazing, honest, wholesome well developed flavours. Took me on such a journey. A thoughtful, respectful and delicious menu. Well worth every penny. I had the venison and my husband had then the Gnocchi Thank you for a wonderful evening.

The dining room setting was lovely with white tablecloths and napkins, staff dressed smartly and a great outlook. Unfortunately the steak was overcooked. Side dish of potatoes was the best we have ever tasted. Lemon Panacotta dessert was lovely. At breakfast the overcooked eggs spoilt what was otherwise a good experience
The food was absolutely amazing. We had the shared lamb with a side of potatoes and I cannot stop thinking about it. Great service by our waiter Liam who suggested some really nice wines and thank you Caitlin as well. Can't wait to come back and try out some more dishes!
I've been there in autumn. They've got the best lamb I've ever tryed . The floor staff is very friendly and they have a great knowledge about wines. I hope I will be back in MCLaren vale to stay there again !!! Thanks, Andrea
Had a long overdue romantic meal here with my wife. Could not have chosen a better restaurant. The food was excellent. The waiters were high class and well versed in etiquette and added to the experience.

Staff were disinterested and lacking knowledge of wines. Argued about tasting glass which was hot from dishwasher. Grotty. Poor bridal expo also happening.
