We managed to get a last minute booking which surprised us, given that it was a Friday evening in the west end. When we arrived we received a warm welcome and given a nice table by the window. We ordered wine which was decanted at the table by our waitress Valentina. We chose mussels to start followed by pizza and sergios cod provencal along with a tomato and onion salad which they kindly prepared despite not being on the menu, (not always easy to achieve in many other restaurants) The mussels were tiny and many of the shells were empty, however the marinara sauce was tasty. Surprisingly good food in London. They have authentic Italian food that tastes just like you're in Italy. I asked for a Bolognese spaghetti and my partner asked for a carbonara. The carbonara could have a bit more sauce, but still tastes good. I wonder if they make the pasta in house, because it didn't taste like the packed spaghetti. But what I noticed the most was the friendly staff. Such brilliant people. Went with my husband for a climate conference nearby. We sitted downstairs (the downstairs space is much better and more beautiful than upstairs) and ordered a pasta with fungi sauce (the one in the picture). The food was delicious and their service is really nice as well. We were served by two waiters (one Polish lady and one Brazilian gentleman I don't remember the names right now) and they offered fresh pepper and fresh Parmesan cheese on the pasta. I have visited this restaurant many times and the quality has always been consistently excellent, no matter what I order. The menu is a perfect size and there are always a few specials to entice you. The staff are top-notch and very accommodating. Despite being in the heart of London, you will be pleasantly surprised by the generous portion sizes and reasonable bill at the end of the night. The food is of excellent quality, with traditional cooking that makes this one of my favorite places to dine.

Number 299 in the whole on London and close to me got to try. I had high expectations. I was disappointed. Bresaola was nice. A good start. But it’s hard to go wrong with that to be honest. Pizza main. Omg. I’m not joking when I say it tastes like a poor takeaway pizza. Soggy middle. No rise in the crust. Not Neapolitan at all. I get better ride in my home (normal) oven. It wasn’t bad. But not good. If this is the best pizza London has to offer Jesus I’m not going to bother again.
The service at this restaurant is fantastic! This is only my second time here; the first time was yesterday when I dined in. Today, I came back and ordered a simple takeaway. Sergio, the manager (not the owner), was especially kind in offering me a glass of wine and a table while I waited for my very good food. The atmosphere is vibrant, the service is brilliant, and the food is delicious!
I would give this restaurant a perfect 10 rating. From the excellent service to the delicious meals, wine, and dessert, everything was outstanding. The food was amazing, every dish was delicious, and the service was impeccable. The atmosphere had a very nice energy and was very pleasant. I loved everything about my dining experience here.
