Settebello- Pasadena

We came to Settebello because this place was recommended by a friend who is actually Italian. That's saying a lot! We loved the natural ingredients, the brick oven and the exceptional service that we received (there weren't many customers during lunch on a Friday when we went, so lucky us). One of our employees stated that the pizza dough is just like naan, which is so true in the best way fluffy and light, yet perfect for holding up the ingredients on the pizza. The cocktails were great too, and there's nothing bad that I can say about our visit!

I reserved 6 people on Tuesday night. we stayed in pasadena for the film festival and wanted a place to eat and drink before we went to the theatre. about 15 of our friends showed up unexpectedly (because they know, la . and we filled a huge part of the almost empty restaurants in the round. instead of the host, other waiter and manager go out of their way to help us get more sitting and put more tables, we were chased for the care of everyone themselves (by more sitting, etc.) super disappointing as eating was not so great to begin.

good pizza and excellent large insalata. please serve them lemon peel with the espresso. love the recipe for the lemon torta dessert. cafe americano was very good.
