Let me start by saying that I have never given a bad review. I believe that when things are wrong in an establishment the manner in which the issue is handled determines my overall experience. I have been to this restaurant several times and have always enjoyed the ambiance and food. Last night, however, prompted this review and a vow never to return. My companion and I each ordered lamb dishes. I ordered the Kabob which was slightly over cooked for my liking but ok. she ordered the lamb platter which was so overcooked and stringy that is was inedible. Amazing!! Our server was Victoria which was amazing. She was so engaging with my friend and I. We were unsure what to order, she helped us in the process. Was attentive to when we needed water or any other additional stuff. Food was out of the world amazing. We ordered a platter from the appetizer amazing. I just would tell them not to put tomato on the grape leaf, that gave it an odd taste. And the baby bbq chicken was delicious, so good, the meat was coming off the bone and the saffron rice Complement it really well.
The ambience and customer service let the venue down. Videos of food prep being playing while eating was a bit off putting raw meet and fish being butchered probably isn’t necessary although I understand they were showing the process.. Customer service was basic, staff didn’t smile once. Waited a good while before being offered drink service, there was only one other table in use. No recognition of my birthday, that was listed on the booking. Food was good, lamb tagine was tasty.
We were seated and waited 10+ mins to be given a menu (or water or anything. Others were seated after us and taken care of. Finally we stopped a waitress and asked for a menu and water and we were told they “could go get someone.” We left. Driver to our next restaurant said the lack of service or interest in customer service is pretty common.

We used to dine at their former place on Hollywood Boulevard. It was very cozy. The new space is very spacious but it looks like they are occupying something formerly occupied by a bar/dance club complete with strobe light and disco ball Food was very good. Service was attentive and our waitress was wonderful. Best baklava ever had
It was a lovely evening. The food was delicious, and the service was outstanding. We were pleasantly surprised to find a very talented belly dancer performing that night.
Food as not up to par. and very expensive . very disappointed. none wast here on a friday evening at 7 pm. later on people arrived.
Great meal! The eggplant lamb maklouba is outstanding! Will definitely return.
