"Ice cream treats after dinner? This is the place you will probably notice the line of people. Why? Because it's so good. Sundaes, shakes or just ice cream, you really can't go wrong. The prices are fair, dress is casual, and the staff is friendly."

I live on site, but I was never in the Shake Shop. This afternoon my sister and I sat under the John's Pass Bridge to enjoy the water and the breeze without baking in the sun. It was still quite warm. On the way home we drove to Gulf Boulevard for a few miles and saw the Shake Shop. We decided to try it and we were so glad we did. My sister had a Chocolate Ice Cream Soda and I had a coffee milkshake. I've never seen coffee as a milkshake taste, so I had to try. It was perfect! The coffee taste was not too strong and it was just a seriously pleasant afternoon sweet treat. My sister loved her ice cream soda. Shake Shoppe is a Treasure Island institution. Long line but as always worth the wait. Only 2 young people inside and working their butts off the keep things moving, impressive. Please think to put something in the tip jar for them as it's a tough job and they are proficient at it. Prices are much lower that I thought they would be. Small Sundae, a shake and large fudge delight for about $13.00 or so was more than fair. Only took off a star based on some of the clients not being able to decide what they wanted despite having been in line for 30 minutes.

The place was wonderful. The banana split was awesome even on 59 degree evening. The ice cream was unique, it was similar to Jet-Puffed Marshmallow Creme, but super cold. I would go again and I would get the Classic banana split for $6.50, that includes the tax. The young girls were joyful and seemed to like what they were doing.

Good soft portion, many toppings to try, family liked some special shakes. This place is busy. She cleaned ablnd sanitated the mixer for a family member who has a peanut allergy before he made his shake and informed us that he can take a little longer because of the additional care. This is GREAT customer support!
