I went there yesterday for lunch while visiting Flensburg. Having beautiful spring weather I was a little hesitant to sit indoors (basement) but upon entering I felt welcomed and settled down for lunch.The restaurant's decor is nothing to write to home about. But the aromas coming from the kitchen smelled right! And we were there to eat.We ordered # 37. Korma Chicken (11,50 €) and #46. Daal Tarka (9,50 €) but since it was lunch time, both dishes cost 7,00 € each. The main courses were served along side a bowl of basmati rice. I just wish salad was included. With two ciders and 2 naans our bill totalled to 24 €.Being from Pakistan and eating home cooked Pakistani food, I was really impressed...
I LOVE Indian food! Therefore, I eat it as often as possible.Over the times in my life, i've had great joy in visiting Indian restaurants all over the world. Everwyhere from high-end to street-level.But never have I experienced such a terrible and LAZY attempt of Indian food, as from Shalimar Restaurant in Flensburg, Germany.We made three orders:- Vegetarian Pakoras- Paneer Matter- Alu ChickenThe Paneer Matter only contained very few thin slices of paneer cheese.Same for the Alu chicken. We were planning to go to another restaurant in Flensburg but we came across Shalimar and we decided to try it. The place is nice, and quiet but the tables are little small especially for Indian food, in which you receive many small dishes. The service was really friendly, and always looking if we were missing something. The menu was easy to understand. We order tandoori shrimps and alu gobi masala. Both were really nice, tasty and maybe too spicy. We said medium spicy and it was little too much. Summarizing, good surprise and i would definitely come again!
Went here for lunch and enjoyed it very much. The food was freshly made, and I can not wait to come back here when I visit Flensburg again! This restaurant have too little review. I think it is much better taste than the other Indian restaurant that ranked number 1 in Flensburg. The waiter was very polite and made sure I had a great time and great food.

Compared to last visit really poor Performance yesterday. All food looked and tastet the same -all sauce from the same big bowl. No desire to make the extra effort to serve the food with "the heart". Last visit. Flensborg is filled with better alternatives
If you see an Indian restaurant in a small town anywhere in Europe ; you can't ignore going to one. This is one similar. Not great but one time visit. I go there for the mango lassi. Food ok - portions are fairly enough.
A small and not very busy place. But they serve nice authentic Indian food, that taste of India. NOTE: they do not take credit card - only cash!!

This was the default restaurant of choice during my stay in Flensburg. It offers a good variety of Indian food along with an array of beverages.
Great little place with very good food. If you like it spicy order "extra scharf" and it is just perfect! Lamb with chickpeas recommended!
