I went to this restaurant for a drink after dining elsewhere. The music was fantastic, but there were no seats available. The drinks were expensive and the doorman kept allowing more people in. My boyfriend and I only stayed for one drink before leaving. The best part was that there was no cover charge as it was my birthday.
This local pub is fantastic. Just like in any big town, you can always find an Irish pub. This particular one is top-notch. I ordered the fish and chips with the Newfoundland favorite dressing and gravy, and it was delicious. The live music by Larry Foley was excellent. I highly recommend this place.
we took our family who were from the usa home, and they had a great time! although we did not eat, we drank and managed to close the place. the music was great and for a place full was our server exceptional! not even had to ask for drinks that made them aware, we will be back
We stopped by for a drink after our meal. We had been there before but it was too busy. This time, it was less crowded. We had a great time listening to live music by two musicians, receiving good service from the bartenders, and had a lovely evening overall. Book a table now
Great first stop in St. John's!! Super friendly (and helpful), staff! Amazing atmosphere with a few local beers on tap. We didn't try much food, it seemed pretty pubb-y... but good. What you'd expect.Would definitely go back!
Entertainment was great, however the fish and chips was not great....fish over cooked and fries were cold. Appetizer plate didn't show up until main dish was served...it was also cold.
Could be great but wasn't. The band were good but it was an an Irish Newfoundland acoustic band that didn't need amplification let alone over amplification....
Bit of fun for another Tuesday night.And It's true, there's always a band at Shamrock City Book a table now
A little loud at night, but gotta expect that. Supper was great !! Service was great!!!
