We have been to Shanghai for years now, it was always consistently excellent and our favourite, i have recommended many times. Ordered several meals and starters. Picked up, got home and unpacked and straight away noticed a starter we payed for was missing, nothing I could do as it would cost more in petrol to go back. The food was absolutely shocking especially the chicken, everything tasted old even the salt and pepper chips. I removed the batter off the chicken and the chicken was slimy and conjealed. Had a couple of mouthfuls and could tell there was something off with the food, we had to throw everything in the bin. Could have been an off night for them but it was so bad we wont be goin...
The best Chinese in Bolton!! I like to try different meals each time i go and have never had a poor meal yet...in 20 years. Good quality food and very satisfying. Staff very friendly and polite. I believe that this has been a family business for a number of years and the quality hasnt changed. Just a shame they dont deliver...but then again if they did i would probably be ordering every night!!!
Hygiene rating 4 of 5, personal immaculate and efficient and it is impressive to observe the cook to create our dishes in their open kitchen. I am in garnel or chicken dishes, as I find her beef chewing and have experienced fun pieces in pork, but otherwise everything is delicious and the best in the opposite
Ordered £20 of food. Was disgusting. The special curry was SO oily. Tasteless. Egg fried rice was burnt.. hard also tasteless. Salt pepper chicken was awful.. just chicken in batter. Service- lady was rude because I asked for chips when I arrived to onto my order. Will never return Book a table now
The Shanghai chippy is the best Chinese food you can get anywhere as far as I’m concerned. You can see the cooks making your food. well not at moment as only 2 allowed in), the food is consistently great and tasty. Cannot fault it at all, no wonder people queue up for it
amazing eating as usual. they are allowed only 2 customers at a time, so ask them to ring their order by and they give them a number. at the doorstep they have published the full menu and the phone number so they don't have to go to place their order. a brilliant idea.
fabulous hot fresh food and service with a smile both English and Chinese food. best to call their order before they go as they are really busy. our new favorite kidnapping.

When ever I visit this take away, no matter what time, it always gives excellent food and a great service
