I’m working in hospitality industry as well, but wow the service i received today was shockingly terrible and the lady who served us was plain rude. I went there to celebrate my birthday. We walked in and no one told us we have a time limit, nor anybody told us they’re closing. Once we sat down the lady came literally 2 minutes later ask if i have chosen food yet, when i said i haven’t and felt sorry for it, she continued said “why haven’t you chosen food, so slow”. 2 minutes later she came again, rushed me to order the food, once the food is on the table instead of introducing the meal’s name, she said “eat quickly, we’re closing soon!”. Ok we get it you wanna close the restaurant asap, but...
How can you messed up an egg fried rice ? i am asian and have been to many Chinese restaurants in the uk, while the price in this restaurant is similar to others in Notts, the quality is clearly not. The egg fried rice was an absolute nightmare for £3.90 for plain rice mixed in eggs Honestly if they actually wok fried and seasoned it it wouldn’t taste like that. Because the you would be able to taste the aromatic coming from high heat wok. Not a good restaurant in general. Calling themselves Shanghai Shanghai, they don't actually sell Shanghaiese food, instead it's hongkongese and some other random Chinese dishes. The waitress we got, seems like she's from Hongkong, but she barely speaks English. So we spoke mandarin, but her attitude is like we owe her money or something, or because I didn't show enough worship to Hongkong. Wow, if you're that good, go to Beijing and confront communists, being racist to Chinese people doesn't prove you're a hero, does it? The food is fine, some good some bad, just ordinary Chinese food. I surely won't return to this place
Lovely lady on arrival showed us to our chair... ordered a drink and some prawn crackers. Then the rudest person I have ever met started to talk down us the started talking in Chinese to her colleague whst she didn't know is I am fluent In chinese... safe to say we paid up and left. Avoid if your not chinese if you don't want to be talked down too

Had authentic Sichuan single dinner here, ordered the Chili pot of seafood and vegetable, the hot degree is just okay for me, food portion is massive and very fresh, vegetable covered bean sprouts, cabbage, celery, healthy, and tasty! A small shame that Tsingtao beer is sold out, will be back again!
I went to a Chinese restaurant in Nottingham on a Saturday night and was impressed to see that there were just as many Chinese customers as there were Caucasian. The food was excellent and reasonably priced.
Best Chinese meal I’ve ever eaten in the UK. The food is wonderfully authentic and incredibly tasty. Service was first class. Cannot fault the place at all and cannot wait to return.
Basic decor in this restaurant but the service was good and food was best Chinese since I was in Hong Kong a few years ago. Would happily eat here again.
