Our experience here was a bit out of the ordinary and perhaps elevated above what a typical diner would enjoy, as it was a private party in a separate room, with a pre-set banquet menu. Presentation and plating were top notch and fitting of a fine dining establishment. It felt like classic Chinese cuisine reinterpreted with a more modern aesthetic. I wasn't blown away by the flavors, and perhaps that was simply because the dishes were not ones we would typically order and were catered towards the palate of a more senior generation. My favorite dishes were the poached chicken, Beijing duck, vegetable rice, and lobster. I typically love whole steamed fish but I found this particular variety to...

It was a 30-minute wait for a table for 2. Bring a bigger crowd and you'll get better attention. Then after sitting down, it took another person to swing by and take our order, followed by 30 minutes to bring one dish out, and the other was forgotten. So we had to wait another 20 for the second one. Longest lunch of my life!People were beautiful, well-dressed, they were nice. But that was ridiculously slow. The food was decent, but not worth the price or the wait. Granted, the prices aren't that much different from most other Shanghai restaurants. At least this one we got a seat though.Parking: Behind the building.

I absolutely adore the atmosphere and the ambiance of this restaurant. But what truly impressed me was the food! Don't be fooled by the name, the pickled prune fried fish may sound unusual, but trust me, it was fantastic! The dish perfectly balanced the tangy flavor from the pickled prunes with the sweetness of the glaze. It was cooked so well that even the bones were edible. Hands down the best Shanghai restaurant in LA! The weekday lunch specials are a steal! We couldn't believe how much food we got for just $14 - we even ordered extra appetizers thinking we wouldn't be full, but we were pleasantly surprised!

We host a dinner party of 28 here at their private room. It was two room turn into one with two big tables. Surprisingly, the table and chairs were very comfortable and fits more than 14 each. The atmosphere here is very family oriented and bright. Very nice layout and decorations. The food was very delicious. The plating of each dish is inviting. One just cannot said no to the dishes. I took pictures of a few before they were eaten, but sadly. We just cannot wait to dig in. The service i Book a table now

When it comes to Shanghainese cuisine, there are regular offerings and then there's the real deal. This restaurant falls into the latter category. While the dishes tend to be on the sweeter side, the ingredients used are true to what you would find in Shanghai. The seating is comfortable and the servers are all natives of Shanghai. This is likely the closest you can get to authentic Shanghainese food in LA, but it just can't compare to enjoying it in its place of origin.

Authentic and civilised Shanghaiese cuisine. Flavors are not too overpowering, mild but impactful. Enjoyed it very much. So many celebrities came to this place and they are not shy about it. Book a table now

Taste-wise It's not bad but not impressive either. But I will come back to try other dishes. Amount of food for each dish is large, so be mindful of how much you order.
