Shari's Bistro - Table reservation

My family came here on vacation looking for something more upscale. My daughter is allergic to gluten, so we chose this place because gluten free foods are mentioned on their website. However, when she asked the server which dishes were gluten free, she didn’t seem sure what she was talking about. She could point to several things that “should” be ok, but that doesn’t inspire a lot of confidence. The service was lovely, if a bit slow, and the food was decent, but we were disappointed with the knowledge of allergens. Disappointing, restaurant was empty yet we were seated next to the only other occupied table. This was apparently the owner who yelled at both the host and his wife ? about a produce delivery. Then had an inappropriate conversation with the host about his father and siblings. When he finally left, the next party was then seated at the same table. To top it off, the food was so so at best.

Awesome place. Great service and food with an impressive, well priced, wine list. Peppered steak was sumptuous and the ribs were fingerlicking good. Plenty of parking right up front. Gorgeous view of the water. Really spectacular!
