Despite being busy, they managed to survive the pandemic lockdowns thanks to their loyal customers. The portions are just right, offering a variety of treats that will leave you feeling satisfied. The prices may seem high at first, but considering the quality of the food, it is actually a great value. This place is a sweet tooth's paradise, especially when it comes to their pistachio ice cream, which is the best!
Came to this Location from Chicago again and it is still the same great bakery I remember. Ahmad is always happy and taking care of customers as if it was his own family. We arrived after hours and he decided to reward us with free sweets for being consistent. Thank you Ahmad. You make the experience so much better, looking forward to seeing you soon.
Shatila is a great bakery with excellent food and coffee. It's chaotic and confusing if you've never been here before so you just have to jump in and get someone to help you. Overall, it was a good experience. Now that we're more familiar with the chaos and how to order, we'll visit again.
When in Detroit, you must stop by this bakery. The pastries are fantastic, especially the baklava which is top-notch. Be prepared for a wait when placing your order, so plan accordingly. The staff is friendly, though not everyone is fluent in English.
