I come to Shaw 's Tavern pretty much every week for trivia with Jeremy--which is awesome. Some of the best prizes in town and supports a local business instead of big trivia. And while the food happy hour specials end at 7PM, the drink happy hour specials run all night on trivia nights!The best deal is the happy hour pizza for $9. They are massive for that price. My friend and I had just finished our finals and decided to grab a bite to eat. We had a fantastic dining experience - the food was delicious, the service was great, and the atmosphere was nice. We decided to order the herb Atlantic salmon with rice, and it was absolutely scrumptious. The sauce and rice were especially tasty. I also treated myself to the hibiscus house margarita, which was amazing. I'm new to DC and was surprised to find that most restaurants don't open until 5pm in this area. Thankfully, Shaw's Tavern was open and saved me from starving this afternoon. Thank you!
I had a really great time here. The ambiance was great music selection could have been a bit better, but still a nice vibe nonetheless.The service was great as well. Stephanie did a great job tending to us and she kept the drinks coming (definitely take advantage of the bottomless mimosas, they literally did feel bottomless.)The food was delicious. I ate the baileys french toast and the habanero wings. The wings could have been a bit more spicier, but it was still tasty.i will definitely come here again.
A nice brunch place. Food was average but the service was pretty good when we went. We asked if they could find a spot for me and my boyfriend since we both came with luggages and they were able to accommodate that for us. Bbq chicken wings tasted great. Chicken and waffles were ok. The chicken was a bit dry and the waffle sorta tasted like cornbread which was something I didn't expect. It still tasted good and the waffle absorbed the syrup very well.

This is a local favorite, making for busy and energetic weekends. The food was fantastic, but because of the large crowds (especially for boozy brunches), the service can be on the slower side. That being said, everyone is super nice and eager to help out if you're in a rush and haven't seen your server in a minute. Would definitely come back, but might skip weekend afternoons trying to avoid the brunch crowd for quicker service
Solid brunch with unlimited mimosas as an option! The atmosphere is trendy and the service was fantastic. You have the option to dine inside or outside and you cannot go wrong either way. Cheers to the server that made the experience that much better I forget his name but he held the fort.
Came here for brunch with family. Service was great and the food was delicious. I got the French toast with a side of sausage and eggs. My family got an assortment of food and we topped everything off with bottomless mimosas. We all enjoyed ourselves.
I ordered white pizza and that’s what I’ve got… &pizza would make it better! This pizza is a joke! The cheese is only in the middle kind of and the rest is the only bread… do you call this a pizza?! The worst thing I’ve ever got!
