Just had a shocking experience with a member of the delivery team. Came round the corner on a back lane speeding ran us off the road and drove away. When we got to the take away to resolve the matter and let the owners know that the driver of the delivery car is very dangerous we were shouted at and told to leave. The driver laughed in our faces when we tried to obtain his details to report him to the police. No help from staff just abuse and rudeness. We are in shock from the behaviour we received when we were the ones that got run off the road. We just wanted to explain that the lane he was driving so fast on is dangerous and children use it frequently, he laughed in our faces like it was...
Phoned for takeaway at 7.02pm 1& half hours later no delivery so I rang to see where it was , he seemed evasive and asked me my address I told him , he muttered and said oh yes I found you , the driver has just left , we are 14 minutes away from the restaurant , half hour later we get a call from a driver saying I'm just leaving now I will be 15 minutes , this is now 2 hours 10 minutes from ordering, it was now 9.10 so I said cancel it it's far to late to eat We where lied to it hadn't even been made , if they hadn't lied I may of accepted it And not even a phone call to apologize or to offer any type of good will gesture, so we won't be using them again and at £40 a delivery and at least 1...
OK..the good bits...the starters were flavoursome. The main meal was ok...ish Now the not so good.... We ordered a simple meal for two at 6.15....it would be with us within the hour.......delivered at 8.45....not good.....after 4 phonecalls....5 minutes, 5 minutes..... The starters not what my partner ordered instead of a prawn tandoori, out came chicken tikka. My sheekh kebab was very good, and what I ordered. Main not what either of us ordered, one rice too many also.....one meal was gravy like, another was way too spicy. One delivery driver for all of Aberystwyth town......I used to eat fairly regularly here....no more.....but the other restaurant is just as bad........
The curry at this restaurant was average at best. I ordered the Jafrezzi and it tasted like it was from a pre-made jar (although it was spicy, if that's what you're looking for). My girlfriend's chicken tikka masala was much better in comparison. Unfortunately, an extra side that I ordered never arrived, and I was still charged for it. When I asked for a refund, I was told that technical difficulties prevented it from being processed. I hope they fix this issue in the future. Overall, this is a decent option for curry in the area, even though the choices are limited. However, it is on the pricier side for the quality of the food.

Absolutely amaizing good! We love an Indian but this was beyond our expectations. So lovely Arrived quickly delivered without any issues, friendly people who clearly really care about really good food. Had daal which was excellent chicken corms for the kids, and lovely baaji and samosas. Everything was great not one criticism to make.
We didn’t actually eat in but ordered a takeaway to our caravan park, Morfa Bychan, quite a remote site with a windy road up to it. The delivery driver was on time, very friendly and the was delicious and still hot. We will most certainly be using this restaurant again! Thank you Shilma.
I had an amazing experience at this restaurant. I ordered the tandoori mixed grill and it was incredibly flavorful. My husband tried the king prawn bhuna, which was delicious and packed with flavor. We had a wonderful evening and will definitely be returning soon. Thank you!
We had a great time dining at Shilam. This was our second time visiting and we will definitely come back the next time we are in the area. We would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone in the Aberystwyth area. The food is fresh, well-prepared, and affordably priced.

One of the best curries I’ve had for a long time. Was ready on time and my Bhuna was perfect. Sadly let down by the onion bhajis which were inedible as they were rock hard. Shame really as otherwise definitely 5 stars.
Treated ourselves to a takeaway tonight and had amazing deal on the cost. Food was excellent, and reminded us we need to visit more often.
