I have had to carefully consider my review of The Ship. We have visited this restaurant a few times in the past and never had any major issues. However, our experience yesterday was disappointing. We arrived on time for our reservation and were directed to our table without being seated or escorted. The atmosphere in the room was nice and bustling. The waitress dropped the menus on our table without much interaction, and my mother's order was mixed up. Our starters were delicious and well presented, but my main course, the Mississippi Burger, was dry and bland. My wife and mother enjoyed their meals, but I was not satisfied with mine. The service was lacking, as my empty glass was not refill...

Went for family gathering here for Sunday lunch (14 of us) been before as the food is home cooked and very tasty, served hot and generous portions. Service is very good also and a lovely comfortable atmosphere. Can't fault it apart from the car park could do with being a bit bigger but that is because the pub is busy and popular! I had an amazing Sunday lunch at this restaurant. The Mixed Roast was exceptional and the service was quick, welcoming, and effective. I will definitely return! The price per person ranges from £10 to £20 and I highly recommend trying the Roast Beef Dinner and Roast Potatoes. The food, service, and atmosphere all receive a perfect score of 5.

The food at The Ship is excellent, and the staff is top-notch. I thoroughly enjoyed my perfectly cooked T-bone steak and have never been disappointed by any of my meals there. I always eagerly anticipate my visits to this restaurant.

Food is excellent, served very quickly and reasonably priced. The drinks are very expensive. However, the restaurant fills up quickly every day, so be sure to book early.
Had an excellent lunch with a close friend who is also a pensioner. The meal was great value for the price.
