Our beautiful team for dinner at the amazing new Shippies and not delivered!! Wow! Wee started in the public bar that remained smart, as it is an institution in Battery Point and Hobart. After a few pints, we have wondered in our own private dining room in the stunning new facility. The renovations are amazing that they have created a modern, light architecturally designed space and still retain the old world charm. The staff was very attentive and we didn't want anything in our private room. The menu is excellent with all staff who enjoy their meals. beautiful people in the old pub (I think much better environment). We have the Calamari and the seafood cahowder. I liked both, but I would have gone for a chowder who had no yarns to remove her tails in my soup. the entire vibe was excellent in the old pub with many touches and old regular only type of milling. the newly built parts are beautiful, but they somehow take away from the historical aspect. our bartender wad beautiful, she was helpful and friendly.

What a wonderful pub this place is. Entering through the entrance to the old part of the pub full of character and history to the chic restaurant down below. The food was simply amazing, our four hungry diners were not disappointed and the staff are friendly and attentive. A big shout out to Nick for his friendly greeting and recommendations in the restaurant, he is an asset to this business.

We visited Hobart and went to the hotel on our first night for dinner. The food was excellent and the fish cake was so fresh with high quality scallops and fish the best I ever had. We went back and were just as impressed. All young employees are also great, the service was second to none. Impressive wine list also.

Found this great pub during the walk around Hobart and was not disappointed. Beautiful old pub with a modern restaurant back. We enjoyed a great pig belly fish and a super tasty seafood chowder. Try something else when we're in Hobart. And... great service from some big young people, thank you
