The food was excellent. I usually have no issues with takeaways from this place, but when I ordered for six people because I had friends over, I ran into some trouble. I waited the recommended 40 minutes, but when I went to pick it up, they hadn't prepared my order yet. I ended up waiting an additional 40 minutes for it to be cooked. They were very apologetic and even gave me a bottle of wine to make up for the inconvenience.
I visited this restaurant with my brother for a meal before heading out for drinks. It was one of the best madras dishes I've ever had, and the service was friendly and welcoming. The staff were quick and attentive with everything we needed. It was a delightful experience, especially paired with a couple of Cobra beers! Thank you!
The Shuhag is a small to medium size Indian restaurant in the heart of Hockley and an 8 minute walk from the railway station. The food very good (and I traveled India many moons ago) and the service is prompt. The prices are reasonable and the temperature of the restaurant is always comfortable. I would return and plan too!
Incredibly good value for money, one of the best Indian restaurants in Essex! They are very generous when it comes to portions, and taste is fantastic try the tikka naan if you haven't already! It is cash only, so keep that in mind when ordering a delivery. The delivery drivers are all really nice too! Book a table now
Absolutely fabulous, as a critical eater of Indian meals (because I have eaten out many times in India and can never find the same in the UK) I can absolutely recommend this restaurant and the take away is equally as awesome !
First time ordering and it won’t be the last! Absolutely amazing food . Only downside was not loads of meat in Chicken tikka masala but other than that gotta be best Indian around the area.
