"We were staying in the area and walked to Sichuan. Like others have said, a superb Chinese restaurant. The service was excellent- everyone was kind and helpful. We ordered the garlic cucumber, eggplant and Mongolian beef. Would strongly recommend all of them."

Went for take out. Just missed the lunch special which ends at 3:00 p.m. Staff wore masks which was a plus. I ordered the mapo tofu which did not come with rice which was odd. I paid extra for white rice but only received a small amount, not enough for the mapo tofu portion. The mapo tofu was spicy but the tofu was slightly off. Also ordered the dry sautéed green beans and they had the right appearance but tasted stale. Overall not great, not horrible but wouldn?t get it again.

Great dinner on our first night in Berkeley. Very efficient restaurant. We were greeted as soon as we came through the door and seated just as quickly. Our orders came out quickly and the attentive wait staff kept our water glasses filled and our questions answered during our dinner. Enormous soup servings. We planned to split a soup and entree and wound up taking home leftovers! Don't forget to order rice as it's not included with the entrees.

Easy to find nearby parking. Service and food delivery speed was good. Traditional nice Chinese food setting. I really liked the traditional spicy SiChuan flavors but also not greasy. Recommend the spicy beef tendon and the drowning dumplings. I'm coming back next time for the lamb.

My first visit. Came specifically for spicy beef noodle soup and green onion pancakes. Both were pretty good here but the soup was bit oily to my taste and the pancake could have been a bit more flaky and crisper. Friendly service. I'll be back to try other dishes.
