During my first visit to Washington DC, I dined at a restaurant located inside the hotel where I was staying. I found the prices to be a bit high, especially considering that the same sandwiches were available in their gift shop for a similar price. I wasn't willing to pay over $20 for a cold sandwich in a gift shop. I ordered the Chesapeake Hot Crab Dip and the crispy calamari with roasted garlic aioli, which were decent but unfortunately made me very ill afterward. I spent the evening in bed feeling extremely nauseous. It's worth mentioning that I later contracted Covid during this trip, which was not the restaurant's fault. Overall, I understand that these things can happen when attending...

The staff were friendly, and my food arrived quickly. I ordered the Eggs Benedict, and it was served in under 10 minutes. Another table received their meals in about 5 minutes! I've never experienced such speedy breakfast service before. The food was also delicious and priced appropriately for a hotel restaurant. However, the noise level was quite high, even with the restaurant only half full, so some soundproofing would definitely help. On the bright side, the presentation was impressive and had a very upscale feel, especially considering how quickly it was prepared.
I was absolutely delighted to discover asparagus in my packed breakfast sandwich! The eggs and bacon were fresh and cooked flawlessly—kudos to the local farmers! The service was quick, friendly, and personalized. I was in a rush to return to my conference, and they had me in and out in no time. Plus, I really appreciate the use of compostable to-go containers; it always impresses me. For those who complain about it, they'll adapt eventually! As for dietary restrictions, they were very accommodating to my sensory sensitivities.
We had the breakfast buffet, and it was quite good. It was a little pricey, but that was okay. I understand that everything in Washington DC is a little more expensive than WV. My buffet plus tip was $40. This restaurant is located in the hotel that we stayed at. The spread was nice, and I left full. If I visited Washington DC again, I'd probably grab breakfast there once more. The staff was also very pleasant and professional. Book a table now
Hotel bar....$16 cocktails. I ordered a whiskey drink and not sure I got the right one stirred up. One of us had the mule and it definitely lacked the ginger beer. Sometimes you have to partake of offerings at the hotel bar. I might walk to another one on the area.....
The buffet selection is lacking, and the food quality is average—my scrambled eggs were overcooked and dry. The service is satisfactory, but overall, I don't think it's worth the $35 price tag. It might be more reasonable in the $20 range, if that.
Poor service. We have been waiting for a server for over 15 minutes. We keep getting told that someone will be with us shortly. Just recently arrived to hotel. Too. Is not ready and now we cat get any food.Very poor service.
There were 2 nights when we didn’t feel like going out and the hotel restaurant was a good alternative. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The food was good and I loved their drinks! Book a table now
Do not visit this restaurant if you enjoy being ignored or insulted. It was a very negative experience.
