La comida es con sabor a pueblo, a casa, a la sopa de la abuela, al calor de la casa materna. Para quien disfruta el pescado el tronco de bacalao es plato obligado. la fabada es muy casera y los chipirones en su tinta no tiene par en La Pola. tengo suerte de estar casado con una hermosa mujer mexicana y asturiana. If you're English and your Spanish is at best poor, then this is a good spot. Not because they all speak English because they don't; but because they like trying to impress you with the friendliness of a typical Asturian. They're very patient, if you're uncertain what the fish is on the menu, they'll bring it out and show it to you, etc. If you want local flavour, atmosphere, cuisine and classically served cider (look up Asturias, cider, etiquette), Sidreria El Forno is it. The only thing you can do to upset them is demand beer. I never used to drink cider before I found Asturias. By the way, the food is great too.
Agreeing with a previous comment from ‘Ian’. Our experience was fabulous. Coming all the way from England this place is the perfect destination to ‘quench a thirst’ with some wonderful ‘full of life’ cider and gastronomical delights. Staff second to none with their service and all that is left to say... when in Pola... come to the Forno!
This was our 2nd visit in 2 years. We came the first time with 2 local couples. The scallops are phenomenal. The cochopa was terrific with the goat cheese. We highly recommend this establishment!

Espectacular. El lechazo estaba buenísimo. Fuimos el día de reyes y a mis hijos les dieron una bolsa llena de chuches. Todo estaba fuera de serie.
